Alanna and American Apparel
The image below was created in April of ‘10. The model (Alanna) and I created this image in my home studio in Orange County, Ca. This scene was lit with 100% natural, ambient light coming through one of my home’s many windows. There are no reflectors (other than walls), fill cards, or strobes used during this shoot.
This was one of the first times I shot in my new house. Being such I focused on creating images from many differing angles while my model, Alanna, wore the same outfit as I wanted to see the changes in light as we worked towards and away from the light source. Hind site is always 20/20; I now look back and wish that we had made wardrobe changes but the light lasts only so long and as I mentioned, it was a test of a new environment.
